How it works
Course lessons are AI-adaptive rather than a fixed collection of recorded lectures. The AI coach does not replace a teacher, attorney, historian, or accredited school.
Practical understanding
Who it serves
Veterans and service members, first-time voters, new U.S. citizens, families, students, educators, researchers, civic volunteers, retirees, lifelong learners, and readers who want to examine sources.
FOCS membership is not required under the Academy’s current enrollment rules.
Meet your instructor
Dale Porter created FOCS Academy to help ordinary citizens study constitutional government through original documents, historical context, and clear explanations. His goal is not to tell students what headline to repeat. It is to give them the background and tools to examine claims for themselves.

Questions before you begin
No. The courses are written for everyday learners and explain difficult terms in plain language.
The Academy describes its schools as AI-adaptive learning experiences. Lessons adjust to the learner’s level and pace rather than functioning only as a fixed set of recorded lectures.
The courses focus on constitutional text, primary documents, historical evidence, and clearly explained arguments rather than candidate or party campaigning. Some courses reach stated conclusions based on their reading of the record, so source-based does not mean without a point of view.
FOCS Academy enrollment is separate from membership in the Fraternal Order of Continental Sentinels unless a specific course states otherwise.
