Screening is an eligibility and risk-management tool—not a criminal investigation or guarantee. Information must be lawful, relevant, and reasonably necessary.
An arrest alone is not proof of misconduct. Other convictions do not always cause automatic denial; lawful individualized review may consider seriousness, time, age, rehabilitation, later conduct, patterns, and relevance.
Applicants may have rights to explain, correct, or dispute relevant information. Authorized National reviewers see details; Companies ordinarily receive only a status.

General membership and legal firearm eligibility are separate questions, though a prohibited person may not handle firearms through an FOCS activity.
