What is FOCS?
A lawful, national, nonpartisan fraternal and civic organization devoted to constitutional understanding, fellowship, responsible citizenship, and community service.
Is FOCS political or partisan?
No. Members retain personal political rights, but the Order does not endorse candidates or parties.
Is FOCS a militia or law-enforcement group?
No. It is not a militia, paramilitary force, law-enforcement agency, security organization, or governmental body.
Do I need to be a veteran?
No. Military service is not required for general membership.
What is a Minuteman?
An initiated member recognized for verified honorable U.S. Armed Forces service. The recognition grants no command or public authority.
Are women eligible?
Yes. Eligible women and men may apply; brotherhood describes the bond shared by all members.
Is a specific religion required?
No denomination or creed is required. Applicants must believe in God, a Supreme Being, or a universal Creator.
Why is a background check required?
To help protect members, youth, partners, assets, and the public while supporting consistent eligibility review.
Does a criminal record always prevent membership?
No. Lawful individualized review may apply, though grave conduct may create a strong presumption of ineligibility.
Does firearm ownership define membership?
No. Firearm eligibility and general membership are separate questions.
What is a Company?
A local subordinate body recognized only after National issues a charter or provisional charter.
How do I start a Company?
At least seven qualified founders may submit a charter request for National review.
Are dues or fees required?
Any approved amount will be displayed only after National configures it. None is currently published.
How is my information protected?
Role-limited access, encrypted sensitive fields, secure sessions, audit trails, and retention controls are built into the system.
What happens after I apply?
Email verification, separate screening, review or interview, a decision, and initiation if approved.
